In times past, when parchment was scarce, but words were plentiful, writings were scraped away to make room for new ones. This reused parchment was called a palimpsest.

At Palimpses, you can scrape away your tired soul and body, renewing yourself in a cheerful space with breath-taking views. This micro-unit is equipped for a luxurious self-catering breakaway, complete with a cosy bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, Kol Kol hot tub, and the most comfortable Sloom bed.

Palimpses is a colourful oasis where every quirky, humorous, and stylish detail is intentional. The wallpaper behind the bed is, in fact, a palimpsest—layers of wallpaper scraped away over time.

Even the fine wood shelf on the wall was once discarded wood given new life. The curtains were made using a second-hand sewing machine, and the bathroom door and kitchen shelves were repurposed from other furniture.

At Palimpses, you’ll leave behind the everyday worries and rediscover yourself. Enjoy classic games, a deck of cards, a bird guide, and binoculars to fully immerse yourself in nature. Welcome home!
