Inspired by the delicious possibility of Henri Rousseau’s painting The Dream (1910), artist Sarah Pratt has chosen to use this naïve style in creating an Airstream interior that is like stepping into the painting itself.

A verdant, exotic, dreamlike jungle; The Dream is a retreat where, with the exception of the naked woman, Yagwigha, on the red couch, everything is covered in forest. Unlike Rousseaus’ painting, however, the foliage represented within the Airstream jungle is indigenous to Southern Africa.

It’s a living canvas in which you too can dream – both awake and asleep – wondering what does lie between those fern fronds and interwoven thickets of protective green leaves. In the meeting of curiosity and courage, your imagination alone is the one who will find out. Perchance to dream…
